Child Sponsorships
The Art Road to Peace
The Joseph and Rebecca Meyerhoff Art Education Center (Dubnov Campus) is located in a former schoolhouse connected to the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. In addition to hosting programs for adults, it also holds many art seminars and workshops for children and young people. Participation in the 10 sessions per year is open to 30 children, 15 Jewish and 15 Arab. Two afternoon daycare groups (from Neve Sharet and Charuv) participate in the events that include workshops, meetings in the museum, and art seminars. The program focuses on the visual arts, i.e. painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video art and printing technology.
Children thus have the opportunity to get to know each other in a natural, neutral and culturally stimulating environment. They can work together to bridge cultural differences, while simultaneously improving their artistic abilities. Children are actively involved in the courses because only this promotes their own learning processes and encourages the development of natural dialog and contact with others from different cultures and religions.
A contribution of 350,00 EUR per year enables one child to participate in ten sessions per year.

First Steps

This program is tailored for Arab and Jewish kindergartens in Israel. Each encounter included a full day of art activities with a guided tour, activities in the galleries and an interactive workshop. 10 Kindergartens came for 4 visits a year. Some of these hosted children along with their parents.

A contribution of € 10.000,00 per year enables the child Sponsorship "First Steps on the Art Road to Peace".
